Wellness update...
If you watch the show or have been reading the newsletter for a while you know I have been on my own MAHA/wellness journey. One of the big things I have done is switched out many of the personal care products (soap, toothpaste, vitamins, etc) and home care products (cleaning supplies, detergent) with products from an American based, family company where wellness is front and center.

Remembering Charlie Kirk
I won’t pretend to be able to adequately articulate the blow that America just suffered.
Like most Americans, I have so many emotions surrounding Wednesday’s events.
I haven’t processed it.
I don’t know how you process something like this.
The assassination of Charlie Kirk is unthinkable.
I’ve lost people in my life - some through illness, some through unfortunate accidents — some young, some who had lived a full life.
This was different. An assignation.
There’s no explanation for it beyond the existence of evil in our world.
It’s that evil that Charlie fought against so faithfully.
There are passionate pundits and influencers in both parties but Charlie was different — he was literally on a college campus inviting dissenting voices to have a conversation.
My prayers are with Erika and their two young children
I’m so sad for his family, I can’t fathom what they’re going through.
I’m sad but I’m also deeply angry, and I don’t know how to reconcile that.
I could go into the anger that I feel.
I could talk about the insanity that this was allowed to happen; that it’s taken over 24 hours to find the culprit; the disgraceful coverage by the media; the despicable comments making the rounds on social media.
But the sad truth is that none of that will bring him back
It’s just so wrong.
But this Friday, I want to take time to remember Charlie: to commemorate him and to reflect on his legacy.
He was a voice for the truth in a world full of darkness— I grieve for our country that we’ve lost such a strong advocate.
…
I could say a lot of things about Charlie.
He was a great American, and an even greater man of God.
A dedicated husband and loving father.
A dynamic speaker and skilled debater.
A brilliant and perpetually curious man.
A true friend.
Charlie leaves behind a legacy of faithful service and a passion for the truth.
With his talent, he could easily have been a divisive and radical figure, and would have gained a significant following from it.
But he looked beyond left and right—he pursued the truth.
He pursued it through honest conversations, primarily with those who disagreed with him.
He went into places where he was hated.
Why?
Because he was that passionate about bringing truth to those who otherwise may never hear it.
I think that’s part of what makes his death so jarring.
Charlie was one of the few political figures who made it his goal to reach those who disagreed with him.
He certainly was the best at it.
This Wednesday, he sat in the middle of an open-air venue inviting dialogue.
He was doing exactly what we say we need to do more of— talking openly and frankly about the issues.
And this is what happens.
He was killed for pursuing discourse over violence.
Pure evil.
…
No one knew the youth of this country like Charlie.
He made it his mission to bring the truth to college campuses across the country.
He put up with unimaginable hate and vitriol with a smile, in the hopes that young Americans would rise up for our values and traditions.
Turning Point USA, Charlie’s organization, has grown from a grassroots group to a nationwide—even international— force for truth, conservative values, and the American way.
All this, he built from scratch by the age of 31.
Who has that effective of a platform by then?
Who has president’s ear, along with so many other leaders’?
Charlie had an almost dizzying energy and enthusiasm for spreading the truth.
In the six or seven years that I’ve know him, I never heard him turn down a chance for a conversation—friendly or contentious.
He never asked anything of me
I asked a lot of him, and he always said yes.
My last text exchange with him was asking him to come on the show this fall.
His response?
“Absolutely”
Charlie’s energy and drive were singular.
He is deeply missed.
…
All that was good in Charlie stemmed from one place—his faith in Jesus Christ.
When asked in an interview how he’d like to be remembered, Charlie said the courage of his faith.
Mission accomplished.
I’m reminded of 2 Timothy 4:7-8,
“7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”
No one exemplifies this verse like Charlie.
It was evident to all who had the privilege to know him that his faith was the center of his life.
It’s extraordinary to reflect on just how many souls were brought to Christ through his words and influence.
That’s all any of us can take with us when we go.
As painful as losing him is, I smile to think that he’s now hearing, “Well done, good and faithful servant” from our Lord Jesus.
Charlie’s wife, Erika, just hours before the shooting, tweeted Psalms 46:1,
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
Our country has suffered a huge blow and the darkness can feel overwhelming
But I would encourage you all, as Charlie did, to lean on Christ even harder through this darkness.
A renewed sense of faith and purpose driving our mission is the best legacy we could give him.
Rest in Peace Charlie.
