Saving taxpayer money under Trump 2.0
On May 5, 1984, President Ronald Reagan delivered a radio address to the nation.
The focus of his address?
Waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement in the federal government.
While a lot’s changed since President Reagan left office in 1989, a lot has remained the same.
The news media loves headlines about foreign policy.
Yet, what doesn’t make the news is what’s happening in our own backyard.
For too long, as President Reagan once noted, the United States government has been mired in waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement.
That brings me to one of the most unique wins of Trump 2.0: DOGE.
Almost every president in recent memory has promised to restore government efficiency.
Trump delivered.
Following in the pattern of Reagan, his second administration has been able to deliver on promises where other presidents failed.
