Trump makes DC safe again...

Washington, DC has been all over the news lately.

Not because of the latest museum exhibit or legislative news, but because of the sad state of crime in the city.

A rash of notable shootings and attacks—including a vicious gang attack on DOGE staffer Edward Coristine (affectionately known as “Big Balls”)— has put DC in the news.

Trump has had enough.

Which is why he recently announced that he is deploying the National Guard and federalizing DC to bring order back to the capital.

I think it’s a no-brainer—DC residents deserve to feel safe in their city. But so do tourists and visitors.

But the move has met with mixed reaction, with Democrats (who have been pushing for DC statehood) crying foul .

It’s starting a national conversation about what needs to happen to our nation’s capital.

Let’s break it down.
