PEACHTREE BALL –Saturday Jan. 18 Black Tie, Union Station “Every four years, Georgians gather in Washington, D.C. to celebrate the presidential inauguration with a ball hosted by the Georgia State Society. Inaugural balls are a fixture of Washington's celebratory inaugural activities, with the first ball dating back to James Madison’s inauguration in 1809. The Georgia State Society will celebrate the occasion with members of our state's congressional delegation and statewide elected officials, complete with live entertainment, dancing, drinks and southern bite Click here.

America is first again..

President Trump held a press conference today that lasted for an hour and 12 minutes — which in itself these days is a remarkable event considering what has been happening with the current Administration.

We rarely see or hear from the current President and when we do its usually a moment filled with gaffes or outbursts.

Beyond the event itself, what stood out to me this morning — and frankly over the past few weeks - is watching a real America First agenda in action (mind you we are still two weeks out from the inauguration)

Today’s press conference began with a business leader pledging a $20 BILLION — yes, billion, investment in the US. The last press conference began with the head of Softbank pledging a $200 BILLION investment in the US.
