Why Team Trump is Pushing back on the Associated Press
In recent days you may have heard that the Trump White House has “banned” the Associated Press (AP) from being in Oval Office meetings and flying on Air Force One.
The leftists in the press corps are calling this an assault on the First Amendment and freedom of the press.
But there is a lot more to this story - and a lot the AP isn’t telling you.
So let’s start with why this all started. In one of his first acts back in office on day one, President Trump renamed the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America. Federal entities and agencies complied with a the new name and within a short period of time thereafter both Google Maps and Apple Maps recognized it as well.
But the Associated Press did not.
Here’s where it gets interesting.
