I wish I could feel bad for Congress right now but I don’t. They have a job to do and for too long — actually forever - they have been kicking the can down the unpaved, pot holed filled road.
Our country is $36 Trillion (Trillion - not Billion) - we run a $2 Trillion yearly deficit - we spend OVER a Trillion on interest payments on the debt and they wanted to pass a 1547 page bill to keep the government funding for 3 months — a bill almost no one read or even had someone else read. Until Vivek and Elon tweeted about it they were all happy to vote yes and get out of Dodge.
The bill included a raise for members of Congress, allowed them to opt out of the Obamacare exchanges and moved the Commanders NFL stadium.
Once it was discovered what was in the bill they all feigned outrage.
